We Continue to “Fiddle” While Cyber Crime Hangs Our Nation’s Critical Infrastructure Out to Dry

The money lost to cyber crime each year now exceeds the total of the illegal global drug trade – more than one trillion dollars.

By the year 2021 the total loss to on-line criminality is projected to be more than six trillion dollars. That’s incredible!

The fate of our entire critical infrastructure is now at stake.

The threats that cyber crime pose against our sixteen interconnected vital economic and industrial sectors is significant. The segments range from energy and finance through national defense and health care.

The Director of National Intelligence recently labeled cybercrime as being the number one threat against our national security.

We’re in deep trouble unless our nation casts off its lethargy and responds in an aggressive manner that confronts the threats.

I’ve presented in dozens of locations throughout the nation on the rising dangers lined up against our information security.

Truthfully, I remain less than encouraged with the tepid response of everyday people, businesses and officials in countering the massive threats.
